Overview

Rotor Investments Limited, an investment and financial processing firm operating in Canada, the United States and Australia, is seeking a self-motivated Financial Operations Assistant to join our operations team. We support corporate clients and portfolio managers with accurate payment processing, reconciliation and client communications. This position is immediately available; we are actively recruiting, interviewing and hiring for this role.

The Financial Operations Assistant works with the finance processing team to manage transaction flows, verify payment instructions and coordinate settlement activities within our service regions. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is detail-oriented, comfortable with technology and committed to high standards of customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide finance processing services to small and medium-sized business clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Process client instructions, plan payment batches and optimise processing schedules.
  • Receive, verify and route payments in accordance with documented procedures and segregation-of-duties controls.
  • During the probation period, work under direct supervision of your manager with step-by-step guidance.
  • Follow written procedures for each task to ensure consistent quality and audit readiness.
  • Collaborate with approximately 180 operations representatives across Canada and the United States.
  • Maintain accurate records in designated systems and escalate exceptions promptly.

Qualifications (Entry Level)

  • Strong communication and customer service skills; detail-oriented with excellent organisation.
  • Problem-resolution ability and capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; college degree preferred. Experience or training in financial services, logistics, treasury operations or related fields is an asset. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Other Skills

The ideal candidate can problem-solve creatively, communicate effectively in writing and verbally, manage time efficiently, pay close attention to detail, work independently with sound judgement and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel).

This position may be performed in your city of residence within our operating regions (Canada, United States or Australia), subject to manager approval and business requirements.
